Drug treatment outpatient Michigan
Outpatient drug treatment programs vary in the types and intensity of services offered. Low-intensity outpatient drug treatment programs may offer little more than drug education and counsel. Other outpatient drug treatment models, such as intensive day treatment, can be comparable to residential programs in services and effectiveness, depending on the individual's characteristics and needs.
All in all, the ultimate goal of an outpatient drug treatment is to help the individual recover from drug addiction so that they may re-enter society and lead responsible, successful drug and alcohol free lives.

Drug treatment residential Michigan
Inpatient drug treatment is one of many methods whose ultimate goal is long-term abstinence from drugs and alcohol. Those who attend an inpatient drug treatment use the new tools they have learned to help them re-enter society and lead responsible, successful drug and alcohol free lives.
Inpatient drug treatment centers offer support and structure for men and women seeking help for problems with drugs or alcohol. Participants reside on location for the course of the treatment program; lengths of stay vary and may be individualized. Care at an inpatient drug treatment is provided 24 hours a day 7 days a week; this is only one of the benefits of attending an inpatient drug treatment.

 Bio physical Treatment Michigan
The bio physical treatments are a long term inpatient treatment program. All students can stay as long as they need to. In general the length of the program is about 3 to 5 months. They do not use psychiatric medications as part of their treatment philosophy. Their program not only addresses the person's drug addiction but also improves the individuals ability to identify and solve problems, improve communication and study skills.
Alsoit helps to restore personal ethics regarding their responsibility toward their family and others in general.Detoxification Program eliminates accumulated drug residuals from the body through an all natural regimen of vitamins, exercise and sauna thereby reducing the risk of future drug cravings and relapse due to left over drugs in the body.

Twelve steps Michigan
The 12 steps that underlie these programs are based on traditional spiritual practices. Respect for all religious traditions is expected in these programs. While a few individual meetings may show a tendency toward a specific religion, this is not in the spirit of true 12-step recovery. You should have no problem finding meetings and groups that respect all religious traditions and do not push any particular theology or belief system.
Residential Treatment and Rehabs cannot officially call themselves "12 step programs" because Alcoholics Anonymous and the programs that have branched from that group (Narcotics Anonymous, for example), cannot promote themselves. The traditions require anonymity and their only "promotion" is by way of example (how the members live their lives).
"The Fellowship has adopted a policy of "cooperation but not affiliation" with other organizations concerned with the problem of alcoholism."

Cocaine treatment Michigan
Coke affects your brain. The word "coke" refers to the powder (cocaine) and also the crystal (crack) form. It is made with a plant named coca and causes a short-lived high followed by extreme feelings of depression and edginess. It also creates a craving for more of the drug. Cocaine may be sniffed as a powder, injected by the means of a needle when transformed into a liquid, or smoked when processed into a crystal form.
Coke affects your body. Addicts who take cocaine regularly don't eat or sleep normally. They can also suffer from increased heart rate, muscle spasms, and convulsions. If they snort coke, they can also cause permanent damage to their nasal tissue.
Coke affects your emotions. Abusing coke can make an individual feel paranoia, anger, hostility, and anxiousness, even when not under the influence of the drug.
Coke is addictive. The drug interferes with the way the brain processes chemicals that create feelings linked to pleasure, so an individual needs more and more of the drug just to feel normal. Individuals who become addicted to cocaine will start to lose interest in other things in their life, like school, friends, family, and sports.
Coke can kill. The use of cocaine can cause heart attacks, seizures, strokes, and respiratory failure. Individuals who use the same needles can also contract hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, or other diseases.

Crack cocaine treatment Michigan
Since crack is an already prepared form of freebased cocaine, the abuser does not have to purchase the equipment or be exposed to the explosive chemicals related to freebasing. Crack is frequently packaged in vials or plastic bags and sold in small quantities, habitually 300-500mg or enough for two to three inhalations.
Usually, cocaine was a rich individual's drug, due to the big cost of a cocaine habit. Now, crack cocaine is being sold at prices low enough that even young teens can afford to buy it. But, this is misleading, since once an individual is addicted to cocaine, his "habit" often deepens, and so does his expense.

Heroin drug treatment Michigan
Heroin is an illicit, extremely addictive drug. It is both the most used and the most rapidly acting of the opiates. Heroin is made from morphine, a naturally occurring essence taken from the seed pod of certain varieties of poppy plants. It is usually sold as a white or brownish powder or as the black sticky substance known on the streets as "black tar heroin." Though purer heroin is becoming more familiar, street heroin is often "cut" with other drugs or substances such as sugar, starch, powdered milk, or quinine. Street heroin can also be cut with other poisons such as strychnine. Because heroin addicts do not know the real strength of the drug or its true contents, they are risking overdose or death. Heroin also brings special problems because of the transmission of HIV and other diseases that can happen from using the same needles or other injection equipment.

Club drugs treatment Michigan
Club drugs are mostly taken at raves. Raves are large dance parties which happen in unusual places like warehouses or railroad yards. The parties run all night and feature computer generated, high volume, pulsating music known as techno or house music. Rave clubs started in England in the late 1980’s and are known for the music and use of drugs such as Ecstasy.
People that go to rave clubs are known as “ravers”. Not all ravers take club drugs. The club scene seems to be alluring teenagers from ages 13 to young adults in their mid-to-late 20’s. Party announcements can be seen posted on colourful fliers, through word of mouth, and even on websites. The phenomenon known as the “Rave Movement” can be compared to the “Peace & Love Movement” of the 1960’s and 1970’s. Party people can often be seen with surgical facemasks (used to inhale various club drugs), baby pacifiers (used to control the teeth grinding that happens with Ecstasy use), and glow sticks (used to enhance the “high” from hallucinogenic drugs).

Michigan drug problems
Drug Situation: Cocaine, Heroin and Marijuana continue to be the major drug threats in Michigan. The city of Detroit is supplied with controlled drugs from source cities and areas from around the country. The city is seeing a resurgence in the availability of Southeast Asian (SEA) heroin. Dealers of Arab and Nigerian descent are engaged in the importation and distribution of heroin and the city has a very large Arab population living in the city of Dearborn, Michigan.
Cocaine: Cocaine HCL is easily available throughout the state of Michigan, with the greatest availability in the extremely populated areas where quantities stay stable. Main dealers are African American, Hispanic, and Colombian. The drug destined for Michigan comes from source areas such as the southwest border of the U.S., Southern Florida, New York and Chicago.
Heroin: Heroin is widely available throughout the city of Detroit and the more densely populated areas of the state of Michigan. Heroin destined for the Michigan region continues to come from different parts of the world. Big quantities of heroin are imported from South America, Mexico and Africa.
Methamphetamine: Meth remains available in Michigan with the western, southwest and central areas of Michigan reporting the principal cases. The state of Michigan meth production is a simple process taught among violators and controlled by the Caucasian lower social and economic class.
Pseudoephedrine: Pseudoephedrine is a precursor chemical used in the production of meth. The Detroit metropolitan area has emerged as a transhipment point for bulk quantities/shipments of pseudoephedrine. The pseudoephedrine is manufactured in the country of Canada, transported on semi-tractor trailers through Detroit, and is bound for meth manufacturing destinations in the states of California, Nevada and Arizona. The United States and Canadian border is being used as a gateway for transhipments of multi-million tablet quantities of pseudoephedrine into the United States. Most of this pseudoephedrine is bought from drug companies in the country of Canada, by Michigan and Ohio based Middle Eastern organized crime groups.
Club Drugs: The abuse of Club drugs like Ecstasy (MDMA), GHB, and Ketamine has steadily increased in the state of Michigan. Club drugs are becoming more popular among young adults and minors, especially in most urban areas of Michigan where "Rave" parties are also increasing. Most illegal drugs are now available at Michigan "Raves". Increasingly larger seizures of MDMA continue to happen at Detroit area ports of entry as well as Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Most out state areas, except the central lower-peninsula, report MDMA to be easily available.
Marijuana: Marijuana remains the most commonly abused and easily available illegal drug throughout Michigan. This drug is popular amongst every racial and ethnic group in the region and is especially popular among high school students. The vast majority of marijuana sold in the state of Michigan comes from the country of Mexico, however domestically grown marijuana is also available and may even be cultivated for export to other near-by states and Canada.
OxyContin: The diversion and use of pharmaceuticals, especially OxyContin, represent a important threat to the state of Michigan. OxyContin is a slow release form of the painkiller Oxycodone, it is of benefit to cancer patients and those with chronic pain. Oxycontin, whose effects are identical to those of other opiate derivatives, is acquired legally through prescriptions, and also illegally on the street. Trafficking and abuse of OxyContin continues to increase in the state of Michigan. Abuse appears to be mostly in Michigan's southwest and northern rural areas and an increase in pharmacy burglary and robbery is continually related to the desire for OxyContin.
Other Drugs: The diversion and use of pharmaceuticals, especially OxyContin, represent a important threat to the state of Michigan. OxyContin is a slow release form of the painkiller Oxycodone, it is of benefit to cancer patients and those with chronic pain. Oxycontin, whose effects are identical to those of other opiate derivatives, is acquired legally through prescriptions, and also illegally on the street.
